This project was started in 2015 by Emma, then 6 years old, who found out there are children in this world who struggle to get an education, who are fleeing from war, who are starving and struggling to obtain basic necessities we take for granted.
She rallied her friends around her and they joined her in great numbers for this special cause.
2017 was a special year for us. Emma's Run was recognized for its efforts by Hope for Children, where Emma was one of three nominees for the Team Hope Award. It was an incredible honour and an unforgettable experience at the Hope Ball in London.
2017 was also the year Emma's Run was nominated for the Junior Heart of Gold Award. The Hearts of Gold Cyprus awards celebrate philanthropy, humanity, volunteering and caring and recognise both children and adults from all over the island. We were so honoured and so proud that Emma won this award and are looking forward to making a difference to children in need all over the world.
Emma, together with her wonderful friends will again be running the 1.5km Piale Pasha path (after the Larnaca Castle), raising money for kids in need and supporting Hope for Children.
We are also looking for more team members to help raise more donations for this cause, so any child who wants to take part please let us know and we will give you the participation and sponsor forms.
Thank you and looking forward to seeing you on the day!
