Story

From September 18th 2005 to July 1st 2006, I will be sailing round the world as part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race on a 70 foot yacht with 16 other crewmembers.
You can follow the yachts progress by logging onto the website www.clipper-ventures.co.uk.
I will be on the Liverpool boat, more information about which can be found on www.liverpool08clipper.com
The route will be from Liverpool to Cascais (Portugal), to Salvador (Brazil), to Durban (S Africa), to Freemantle (W Australia), to Singapore to Qindao (China), to Yokohama (Japan) to Victoria (British Columbia) to Panama, to Caribbean, to New York, to Jersey and then back to Liverpool!
You are all invited to wave me off from Liverpool docks on 18th September or to join me at one of the more exotic locations above!
I have decided to dedicate this race to my father who loved sailing and he has travelled to many of the places that I will visit.
My father was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago and so I have decided to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society which funds research into cause, cure and most importantly care.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me as Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks for your support. Emma the Sailor!
