Emma's 818 mile Team Challenge
Emma Whitehouse is raising money for Together for Short Lives
Story
Our team has decided to walk/ run/ cycle/ horse ride a total of 818 miles in September to fund-raise for Together for Short Lives.
We'll be using Strava to monitor our distance as a team and will provide updates on this page along the way. Our Team is Amicia Hardy, Amy Hodgson, Em Whitehouse, Josh Grainge, Mandy Smith, Michael Anastasiou, Sarah Adams
The distance we have come up with - 818 miles - comes from the approximate distance of if we were to lay all the mince pies we manufacture for Mr Kipling side by side. This distance has been split proportionately between the team members depending on their key forms of exercise (cyclists have a higher mileage target compared to walkers & runners).
We aim to complete the distance within the month of September. This is almost the same as travelling from John O'Groats to Lands' End!
I have recently challenged myself to complete the Couch to 5k programme to improve my fitness and self belief. I've set myself a target and I'm determined to achieve it!
My miles towards our team target might be slow but they all count. :P Please support this great charity by donating what you can.
