Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As you know my mum  sadly lost her fight with cancer on 3rd June this year.

She was extremely brave throughout and she never lost hope.

Mum spent her last six days in St. Luke's Hospic and  I can not express to you the support and care that my mum  and our whole family received from St Luke's during this time.

For those of you who have lost someone with cancer, you will know the pain and suffering it causes and the devastation it places on your family.  St Luke's offered us the strength we needed at this time and we will forever be in their debt for everything they did for us.

St. Luke's relies solely on charitable donations and the Hospice costs £3000 a day to run. It provides a vital service for cancer victims and their families during the most difficult times.

Each year the hospice organises a 5K Fun Run and this year Neil and I are taking part in memory of my mum, along with other family members and some of mum's friends. We are going to be focusing more on the "Fun" than the "Run" and will be dressing up.
