Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On Sunday 5th October I will be competing in the BUPA Great North Run. The event is a half marathon starting in Newcastle city centre and finishing on the North East coast at South Shields. It's a half marathon - a scary 13.1 miles!!!

I have never competed in an event like this before but have been in training since the beginning of the year and am very excited! Entering a race such as this is a fantastic opportunity for me. Completing the course will be a great achievement and I will be proud to say 'I was there, I did it!'.

More importantly I am running on behalf and raising money for the charity Bowel Cancer UK. A few years ago my Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I am delighted to say today she is fit and healthy after receiving the 'all clear'.

Unfortunately, we are all more than likely to have loved ones, both family and friends, who are affected by cancer. Charities such as Bowel Cancer UK provide an invaluable support to all people affected. Please join me in supporting this charity by making a donation and backing me in the BUPA Great North Run.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
