Story
Two years ago I was privileged to join the incredible team at Guide Dogs in Leeds, and have since worked with some amazing people across the North East, from service users, volunteers to colleagues, learning so much along the way.
I'm now joining some of these amazing colleagues to do the unthinkable - run 6k (as someone who is not a runner, already not the best start!) and tackle a number of ridiculous sounding obstacles such as a 'Human BBQ' and 'Peaks of Pain' whilst getting very muddy.
We're doing this to raise funds for this special charity we all feel so passionate to work for, and so we can continue to support more people with sight loss.
Every day, 250 people join the 2 million already living with sight loss and this number is set to double by 2050. Guide Dogs rely on generous donations, and the money you donate will help them be there for children and adults living with sight loss now and in the future ensuring they don't lose their freedom and independence.
Thank you!
