Hello we are Emma, Charlotte and Fred! Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. (we are the three to the right of the picture) 

In June 2021, we are climbing Kilimanjaro in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation. As part of our fundraising we will be doing one hour of litter picking for every £10 we raise, within the local area.

Any donation will help us reach our goal - no matter how small, it all adds up!

More people contract meningitis and septicaemia than you might expect with 16 –25 year olds being the second highest at risk group, and freshers in particular are vulnerable to the disease. We have just finished our first year at university and we could not begin to imagine how devastating losing a friend or sibling to the disease at this new, exciting time in our lives would be, especially as it can be prevented by a vaccination.  

Additionally, meningitis remains the second biggest killer of children under five globally. This is more than AIDS, malaria, measles and tetanus combined. It kills more than 300,000 people every year and leaves hundreds of thousands more with life altering impairments.

All of the the money raised will go to the charity, but more importantly by fundraising we will also be raising awareness of the disease. The charity aim to eradicate meningitis by 2030, but this will only be possible with your donations, any donation will add up and help me reach the goal.

It is so important to be aware of the signs and symptoms as meningitis and septicaemia can strike quickly and can kill in just hours, with symptoms similar to an innocent common cold. Check out
