On Sunday 23rd April, our friend Mary Twitchett was due to run the London Marathon to raise money for cancer research, until a late injury robbed her of the chance.

We want to support her but, not being much good at running, will instead row marathons on the rowing machines at Emmanuel College boathouse on the same day as the London Marathon.

As a bunch of rather unfit, mostly middle-aged novice rowers, rowing 42,195m on erg torture devices will be a big challenge.
