Story
In July 1996 I turned 13 years old. Not long after, my dad, who had not long since turned 39 years old began to feel tired and have headaches. It was so unusual for him and it just got worse.
He was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
A glioma that grew into his brain stem.
Surgery was not an option.
He died on December 14th 1996.
He was a wonderful dad and I'm doing this in his memory. In the hope that one day, no other family will go through what we did.
We can't bring my dad back. We can't bring back all the thousands of people lost to this horrendous disease. But with continual research, maybe one day we can put an end to losing anyone else. But research costs money and this is where we need your help. Please do a quick search for brain tumour statistics and you'll very quickly understand how much help we do need.
If you can make a donation, however large or small, I'd be ever so grateful.
Thank you,
Emma
