Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Karen Morris died of an aggressive form of leukaemia at the age of just 23. When Karen was first diagnosed she immediately began fundraising and campaigning to help others like her, which resulted in helping thousands join the bone marrow donor register and tens of thousands of pounds being raised.
What an amazing lady she was and her amazing Mum continues her legacy through the Karen Morris Memorial Trust, who help people & families of those suffering with leukaemia by providing accommodation close to 4 hospitals across the country, enabling them to stay close or even together during treatment, making things just that little bit easier.
Each day 27 people in the UK receive a leukaemia diagnosis and sadly my family is no exception.
I am therefore raising money for this very worthy cause by running the 2019 London Marathon!
Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me - Karen Morris Memorial Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much for your support, it means a great deal to me.
