Me and my friend George are doing a sponsored hitch-hike to Morocco to raise money for the charity Link Community Development.

We intend to get from Cambridge to Morocco in less than 1 week without spending any money on travel. We are leaving on the 15th March from our doorstep in Cambridge. Our route will take us from Cambridge to Portsmouth, then through France and Spain to Gibraltar, then to Marrakech! Hopefully our charm and sweet faces will get us along on our way :)

LCD aims to improve access to quality education in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa. They work to ensure that children can access education, that schools provide quality education and to remove obstacles to education caused by ill-health and disease. Their work is mainly in communities in Malawi, Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa and Uganda.

I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to study at Cambridge and had access to one of the best educational institutions in the world. I hope that one day all children will have access to a basic level of quality education and the money we raise will go towards that aim.
