Story
Update - 17 April
We did it! Took longer than expected (4 hr 46 mins) as poor Steve was unwell from Canary Wharf onwards but managed to battle on, albeit at a slower pace. We didn't mind the time and were just so pleased to have managed to finish on such a hot day.
Emma ran in memory of Louise Witham, which made the day extra special.
Thanks to everyone for your support, especially our parents and the various members of cheering squad (Nicky Bates, Jeni, Caroline, Charlie, Sarah & Nige).
Update - 7 March
Yesterday we ran the Silverstone Half Marathon as the first of our fundraising events for Age UK. The race went pretty well and we completed it in 1 hr 58 mins - meeting our target pace of 9 mins miles. You can see some pictures of us with our medals on the left hand side of this page.
Welcome to our fundraising page
Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. This year we are running to raise money for Age UK, the new charity combining the great work of Age Concern and Help the Aged.
Who are Age UK?
Age UK do a huge amount of work to support vulnerable elderly people - much of their work goes on behind the scenes and doesn't get the profile it deserves, which is why we wanted to support them.
