Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Following the birth of my son Feargus 8 years ago, Glasgow children’s hospital has been the only constant in my families life. From birth feargus was transferred to Yorkhill to receive the lifesaving treatment needed to survive, through 30+ surgeries, including 2 open heart surgeries, with the longest being 20hours spending numerous months in PICU.
He transferred from Yorkhill to the new Glasgow Childrens hospital where he was one of the first cardiac babies, he then went on to spend his first 14months of life in the new hospital, with stays totalling roughly +5years of his life.
The care he and my family have received has always been second to none. We’ve made friends that are like family, the GCH is absolutely our second home - which hold the best and worst memories of my life, but I don’t know how we as a family would have gotten through without the amazing teams surrounding us.
I am doing this for the nursing staff who have stayed at his bedside at 2am, held me while I cried, some who have cried with me, the play teams who have supported his siblings, the doctors and surgeons who never fail & for the immense amount of love I have for each and every one of them. Each person who has played a role in Feargus’ life to help him get where he is today I will forever be grateful.
Thank you.
