Story
I am running the London marathon and raising money for Anthony Nolan who found a lifesaving match for my little cousin Molly!
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells, to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant - every penny you donate brings them closer to that day - and I won't stop until I've ran every single mile of the marathon!
..............
For anyone that knows me well they know that I don't 'do' exercise, and I'm definitely not a fan of running. So applying for the London marathon was the most obvious thing to do ....... NOT! :S
This is going to be very difficult and a massive challenge for me, but it's nowhere near as big as some of the challenges patients dealing with blood cancers and disorders face day in, day out.
This is why I'm facing my nemesis and standing up to the challenge to help raise funds and support for those facing their own battles - together we can cure blood cancer mile by mile!
Please help support me and donate. No matter how little the amount, it all helps and goes towards raising the funds to find more lifesaving matches and save lives.
