Story
I’ve probably bitten off way more than I can chew with this, but I’ve signed myself up to run the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 10th April, 2022 with the hope to raise some money for Endometriosis UK 🏃🏻♀️💛
My decision to support Endometriosis UK was underpinned by my diagnosis (back in 2015, after 2 surgeries and having symptoms for 6 years) and my reliance on their website in the very early stages of my understanding of the disease. I know firsthand how important Endometriosis UK’s resources are, especially in terms of improving the quality of life for those who suffer.
1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth endure unrelenting pain that affects every aspect of their lives each day. That’s over 1.5 million in the UK who suffer with endometriosis and the impact of the disease is, for some, devastating. Yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. It is not clear what causes the disease and there is currently no cure.
With the help of donations, Endometriosis UK continue to raise awareness, provide support and information and contribute towards supporting vital medical research.
If you are able to support me through this mammoth task by donating or sending messages of encouragement/advice/motivation/pity, I would be so so truly grateful. In addition, if you’re an Oracle employee and you make a donation, please consider requesting a donation match through MyGiving! 🙌🏻 I’ll keep this page up to date with all of my training wins and woes…Thank you!
