We share the vision of an end to the pain & suffering of eating disorders

Story

Why am I doing it?

1 - Anorexia has the highest fatality rate of any mental illness and the prevalence of eating disorders is increasing. Without the work of specialist units and charities like beat the chances of recovery and the understanding of this misunderstood illness would be seriously affected.

2 - There is absolutely no way I could do this without a healthy mind and body, so whilst raising money for a great cause it is also a continuing motivator for me to keep going with recovery!

What am I doing?

Starting in Badaling I will be doing 5 full days of trekking along the winding, steep and often unrenovated path of the Great Wall of China. The trek takes place in October, giving me plenty of time to continue with recovery and buy the all important walking boots! I'm funding the trek entirely, but would love to receive sponsorship for the challenge, 100% of which will go to beat (The UK's leading eating disorder charity) Find out more about them here... www.b-eat.co.uk
