Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thank you for sponsoring us on this terrifying challenge!

We are abseiling because I was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's three years ago when I was just 46.  I was in shock but  got a huge amount of emotional support from Parkinson's UK and the local support group. The charity also helped me find the right medical and financial help. Nobody should be without the support they need when they need it most and I would love my story to inspire other people to raise funds for Parkinson's UK to help them find better treatments and a cure. Or come join me at the abseil if you dare!

Last year I raised funds in Parkinson's UK Tees Transporter Bridge Bungee jump which was very scary, but I'm so proud I did it. I'm determined to do a challenge and raise funds every year that I am able to.

I'm very touched that my nephew and granddaughter are abseiling with me- it means so much to have their support and educate them about Parkinson's
