In May this year someone very special in my life was diagnosed with cancer, and as a result, she received outstanding treatment & support from all the staff at The Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow. 

Before this, I didn't know where The Beatson was, let alone what went on inside. Now, The Beatson has been a regular part of my family's life during June & July.

When I commited to take part in the Half Marathon back in March, I knew I wanted to raise money for charity but was struggling to find one I was passionate enough about. When the events of the past few months started to unfold, I knew there couldn't be a better or more appropriate charity to raise money for. 

On Sunday the 6th of October both my Dad and I will be running 13 miles (starting from George Square and ending at Glasgow Green). All of the money we raise will go to The Beatson Cancer Centre to help them to help people, who are special to families all over Scotland.

Any donation, however big or small would be fantastic and greatly appreciated!

Both my dad and I promise to make it to the finish line..although I'm not promising it will be in record breaking time!!
