Story
On May 28th 2023, I'm running the Edinburgh marathon in memory of my sister, Hannah, who passed away last year. I've chosen Marie Curie as the charity I want to partner with, as they played a huge part in ensuring that Hannah was comfortable and received the care she needed in the last few days before she passed. In a time that felt so scary and chaotic, my sister, our family and her friends were able to take comfort in knowing that she was in the right hands.
When my sister was discharged from hospital with a prognosis, my family and I felt totally unequipped to provide the level of care required for someone so unwell and paralysed from the waist down. We were, and still are, so grateful to the team at Marie Curie for supporting us with care, guidance, information and compassion. ❤️
