Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rog and I love walking and what better way to enhance the enjoyment  than raising money for a worthy cause at the same time.

Walk the Wight is taking place on 13th May 2012 and we are hoping to complete the entire 26.5 miles from Bembridge to the Needles, which will take between 8 and 12 hours.

We're hoping to get in lots of training walks before then and will post our progress on these pages.

Anything you can donate will be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Emma x

29/01/12 Just did 8.5m training walk - the Charnwood section of the Leicestershire Round.  Legs ache and feet hurt - how am I ever going to make 26.5 miles?

01/04/12 It's not an April fool - Rog and I just completed a 19 mile circuit of Rutland Water in 6 hours.  Why was it 19 miles instead of the normal 17?  Because we ended up going a mile along Hambleton peninsula before realising we were going the wrong way (Grrrr!).  I ended up with the worst blisters I've ever had and it took 4 days for the aching to abate but at least we think we can achieve the full 26.5 now.  Just over a month until the big day!
