Story
This year Gareth and I are taking part in the 25-year journey of Caring Matters Now. Each day a team of 20 trekkers will be walking a stretch of the 270-mile journey from Liverpool, the birthplace of Caring Matters Now, to London, where the ground-breaking CMN research lab and patient clinic is based.
The journey will begin at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, followed by 12 days of trekking through the most beautiful countryside, ending our final day walking through the great capital city of London to the finish line at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Gareth and I will be completely Day 6 of the journey from Tamworth to Bedworth (approx 20 miles)
The Liverpool to London Trek is a huge challenge and we are so excited to be a part of it.
Our daughter Georgia was born with a large birthmark on her back, she is now 8 years old and as a family we have been hugely supported by Caring Matters Now. We want to help not only celebrate 25 years of the charity but continue to support other families by raising more funds for further research and continue to raise awareness of this condition.
