*****UPDATE***** 01.11.20
I had a barmy idea to take the challenge of swimming the length of the Channel. My aim was to raise £200, do 50 ish lengths a session and be half way by the end of October. Today I have finished! (Yay no more boring number updates). It has taken 19 sessions or 16.5 hours. I have swam 22 miles or 2121 lengths of Brae pool or 1417 of Lutterworth or Clickimin. Which is 35.5 km or 35,406 metres! Thank you to everyone that sponsored the Aspire charity - your money has gone to a great cause xxxx 🏊♀️🍻💜😜🤪💤

Ok. So I don’t think I’ve done a sponsored anything since 1980’s Comic Relief gave our parents and teachers a break whilst we didn’t speak for 24 hours. And the idea of doing a sponsored sports ANYTHING fills me with dread and fear... when running, think a cross between Phoebe Buffay and a drowned rat. But I can swim! So I am taking the Aspire Challenge and aim to swim the distance of the English Channel (in my local pool) in 12 weeks whilst raising money for people paralysed by spinal injury. I have set a target of £200. Please sponsor me people! Thank you! X
(And for those boring enough to sit and work out how long it will take me, I will swim 3 to 4 times a week doing 50+ lengths a time in a 16.7 metre pool. And probably won’t swim for 2 of those weeks due to work!)

I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2020, swimming the distance of the English Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire. Every four hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice and housing that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. This is a big challenge, but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, so please be generous!
