Thames Path Challenge 2015 · 12 September 2015 to 13 September 2015 ·
I will be raising money for St Barnabas House based in Worthing, Sussex by completeing a 100k walk from putney bridge following the route of the thames to henley on thames.
St Barnabas House is an amazing hospice that provides excellent end of life care to allow patients and their loved ones to make such a difficult time as comfortable as possible.
In early november last year my uncle Geoff was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of liver cancer which was sadly inoperable and terminal. In mid December, he went into St Barnabas House. They gave outstanding care to him during his time there, which allowed him to keep his dignity intact at such an awful time.
He sadly passed away at 6.15am christmas morning with his wife by his side. Less than 2 months after this shocking diagnosis of someone who didnt seek that unwell and he was gone.
I am personally so grateful for all St Barnabas House have done for our family, that i wish to do this very challenging walk ro raise money to help them carry on their work.
