Story
Thank you all so much for being so generous!!!! Aiming low means that I feel splendid about the amount you have all raised.
All I have to do now is get round the run! I have driven over to John Pill Car Care(and tractor care too, he has 3 Fergies). He kindly filled up the tyres with air and put lots of different sorts of oil in lots of different holes.
I have sprayed my DMs pink, bought 12 metres of pink net and found a pink anorak. I have also covered a large pillow with pink gingham, the run is quite far but it is 11 miles there and 11 miles back.A bottle of Helium is on order and the balloons are also pink.
So it is only a week to go and it is all getting very exciting, we will have press coverage by Miranda Barden and of course, photography by Jono.
Oh help!!!!
WE DID IT!!!!!!!
It was a brilliant day. The weather held out although it was pretty windy for people decked out with balloons. 136 of us with our tractors as extravagantly decorated as you can imagine. All along the route people waved and cheered us on, some of them sitting out in their gardens with picnics. Harleston was full of people, it was very emotional and huge fun too. My tractor and I know each other pretty well now and will certainly do it again next year.
Thank you so much to all of you, I am so grateful to you, we will have raised over £1000 and Cancer Research UK will be very pleased!
