Story
After a such a difficult year for Charities I really wanted to help any way I could. I particularly wanted to help a charity that helps precious babies/children 🌈 those whose lives are sadly taken way too soon 💔 Also a place where families are supported through their devastating loss... A local Hospice called Forgot Me Not Childrens Hospice.
I've not skated since I was about 10 years old (I wasn't any good then too haha!) So I thought if I pledge to go out and Skate (or try and keep upright 😂) at least 30 mins a day for 3 months... With the aim to be able to skake around Bramley Park, which is 0.5 miles, to go around 6 times to make 3 miles! 😅
*I am going to do this on the 31st March 2021 which is a special day close to our hearts* 💕
I'm hoping it might be enough of a challenge where friends and family might like to donate a couple of pennies to a very worthy cause please 😘 Also I hope it makes people smile at such a crazy time... At me falling over alot 😂😂
(Worst case scenario... I could send a video to You Been Framed of me injuring myself and donate the £250 to the charity haha! 😂)
Please see more about the charity below...
Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice
We care for children with a life shortening condition and their families, providing services such as hospice at home, crisis care, bereavement support and end of life care.
Our Mission
Our vision is to deliver pioneering care through pregnancy, childhood and loss, whenever families need us, whatever their future holds.
We will make our vision a reality by:
* Offering high quality, bespoke, specialist services for mums and dads to be, babies, children, and their families, coping with life-limiting conditions and living with loss
* Being inclusive, accessible and available 24/7 in our hospice, at home, in hospital and in our communities
* Ensuring every penny raised and every minute gifted is focussed on the needs of the families we support.
You can make a difference!
With our current resources, we can only reach 15% of the children who need us. The government only provides around 3.3% of our income, so we need the support of the whole community. And with your help, we could start reaching the other 85%!
Any money would really help... Thank you! Em Xxxx
