I am doing the 5k Hydroactive Challenge with my two daughters Mollie and Jessica Sambrook.

I lost a son and they lost a brother to Cystic Fibrosis after living just 5 short years. Then in January 2010 we lost a very dear friend Jessica Wales who also had CF. Jess was an advocate for the charity Live Life Then give life. She spent much of her time campaigning to ensure people sign the organ donor register and raising awareness. Jess was on the double lung transplant list for 4 years waiting and finally received her call in Dec 09. Jess fought to the end as complications shattered hope of a future. Jess was just 20 years old when she died. She was an inspiration to others showing strength and hope that we can only dream of having. Her campaigning touched the hearts of all that met her, and i for one feel blessed that she touched my life.

I promised Jess after she died that I would raise money to help the cause she was so passionate about it and Mollie and Jessica will be by my side along with Jessica's fantastic mum Jackie and lots more of Jessica's family and friends.
