Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page. :-)

As most of you know I am really in to my road cycling and I cycle most weekends with Berkhamsted Cycling Club.

A group of cyclists within the club are taking part in the Prudential Ride London event on the 30th July and I am one of them! It’s a 100 mile long route that follows that of the London 2012 Olympic road cycling race. All the roads are closed to traffic making it a speedy exit from the Olympic Park in Stratford, right out in to Surrey countryside and back in to London finishing on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. Its televised on BBC as the Elite cyclists also take part.
With just under 2 months to go I have been out every weekend getting the miles in and battling with the (pretty savage) Chiltern Hills!

I have committed to a fundraising target of £500.00 for the Hospice of St Francis – a charity that provides free, expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in West Herts and South Bucks, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background. They support their families, carers and those close to them. Any amount that you could spare would be most appreciated and you can donate via the link on this page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
