Hi All,
I am attempting to run the London Marathon this year in memory of one of the most special ladies I have ever had the privilege to know.
For those who know me you will know all about this lovely lady, but for those who don't let me just tell you a little about her.....................
Marion Measday is my best friends (Helen Freeman) Mum and I met her 13 years ago at Bobbing Village School where my daughter was just starting in reception class, she was the office manager there so I had a lot of dealings with her and about a year after I had the pleasure of befriending her daughter Helen and we became the best of friends.
This lady was one of the most caring, genuine people I have ever known and it saddens me greatly that I am now typing this out because again it becomes a reality that she has passed away and that Helen and her family have lost a Mother, Wife, Daughter and Nan.
Unfortunately Marion lost her very short battle with cancer this year only about 3 months after diagnosis and I promised her and Helen that I would run the Marathon in her memory and raise some money for one of the charities that she chose.
I really would like to raise some money for Macmillan a very very worthy charity and do something for my lovely friend Helen in memory of her wonderful Mum, so please if you can donate anything no matter how little I will be so grateful as I'm sure Marion's family and friends will be too.
Sleep tight Marion xxxx
