For those of you who know our Dad, it will have come as a big shock to hear that he has been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia. How does somebody so fit and healthy and all round amazing get Leukaemia, believe me, we have been asking ourselves the same question.

So Dad was diagnosed with CLL in 2013. CLL is a slow cancer meaning he did not need to start treatment right away, which is why he and Mum decided not to tell us until he needed to start treatment - which unfortunately is now. What amazing and selfless parents we have, living with this on their shoulders for so long so that we did not stop going on our adventures... Well now we are being extra clingy to make up for it.

Since his diagnosis he has been running marathons, half marathons, wolf runs and tough mudders raising money for Bloodwise to find a cure for CLL and to get in the best possible shape he could for chemo and to fight this. So with Dad starting his chemo this Thursday, he is unable to run the marathon with us which is why we must fundraise for him (whilst hopefully beating his times). If he has been running with CLL for all these years, then we have no excuse.

As naive and silly as it may sound, I honestly believed the Plumridge's were one of those families that did not get cancer, how wrong was I. Sadly cancer gets 1 in 2 people now, so please please donate, if not for our Dad, then for the possibility of this money helping you or one of your loved ones one day.
