We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

So... a few months back we both detested running (still do for at least the first 15 minutes when we start off.. that pain barrier is a bugger to break through!) but started training for the first time ever in May this year to do the 5k Race for Life with a team of girls from work. We literally couldn't even talk whilst running at this stage (and to hear silence from Emma is very rare)

After the 5K, we somehow kept going and decided to start training for a 10k run, which we recently completed in aid of Cancer Research.

We've now signed up to do the Coventry Half Marathon (25th October) to complete our 2009 running journey in true Forrest Gump style!

In an effort to keep us going on the 13 miles we've decided to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

The AS are the leading UK care and research charity for people with the disease and those who care for them.

Both of our Nans have been affected by this cruel disease that very little is known about, so every penny you donate will really help spur us on.

Thank you for all your support & words of encouragement - me and our best friends (our trainers) are very grateful.

Emma and Kerri

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
