Story

Thanks for giving some time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi. My name is Emma. John Byrne, known as  'Big John' to most is my uncle and I am runnng the Brighton Marathon on April 6th 2014 in memory of him.

I am doing this on behalf of The Cancer Charity at The Royal Marsden Hospital's in both Sutton and Chelsea. It is in appreiciation for their fantasic and amazing support that they showed to John and all his family through his time with them, and the continued support that they show to others.

John was highly respected and loved by all that knew him, always the one to play the joke, but to be the one to help out when he could, no matter who you were.

He is still missed by all, always will be.

As I said earlier, John was given great care and support by the all the doctors and nurses that were involved in his battle and I felt this would be a great opportunity to be able to give something back to them and support the great work that they do.

Even if you can only donate a pound or two, then I am sure it will be really appreciated in the continued battle to find a cure for cancer and support those with it.

No doubt as I try to get around the 26.2 mile course and crawl across the line with blisters, I hope Uncle John will be proud of my efforts, although I can see him laughing that ' I took to long '.....

Again, thank you for taking this time to read my page and thank you for your support.

Emma x
