Story
Last year having just started her PGCE at Southampton University Bella was diagnosed with a nodular melanoma, a fast-developing type of melanoma that spreads more quickly than others. With the support of family, close friends and especially nurses funded by the Teenage Cancer Trust it was her wish that we tried to carry on with life as normally as we could. It wasn't easy.
Our story however does have a happy ending. Bella’s melanoma hasn’t spread and subject to follow-up checks, it seems the cancer was caught early with the likelihood of a complete cure.
The Clarkes and O'Briens will be running to raise money for the wonderful nurses from the Teenage Cancer Trust who help support the families and young people with cancer.
