We provide specialist palliative care to patients suffering from terminal illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My reason why?

Over the years, our families have lost loved ones to terminal illness, and like so many families in our region when faced with this hardship, we turned to the Southern Area Hospice for support.

The work and support of this charity was beyond measure.  And in loving memory of those we have lost, and to show our gratitude to this incredible charity, we head  to Tanzania in September 2023 to climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world - Kilimanjaro!

The challenge

This mountain will take 8 days to complete, in temperatures from 27degrees reaching -18 at the summit.

We want to complete this challenge and together with a few others from Newry, raise £30,000 for this charity, and your help in any way, is greatly appreciated.

The Hospice needs your help

The services of Southern Area Hospice is provided free of charge and they rely heavily on voluntary donations to continue providing this special care.

This  year they need to fundraise £3.2 million which is approximately £267,000 per month, £61,538 per week, £8,791 per day, £366 per hour.

You can help by donating on our just giving page. Donating through justgiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Please give what you can 💕

Thanks for all your support
