We are taking part in this run in memory of my lovely mum Marion Burns who sadly passed away 32 years ago aged 39. I was just 17. Mum never had the privilege to grow old with us & she missed out on so many life events as her family  continued to grow. She never got to see her own children get married, meet her 6 beautiful grandchildren & first great grandchild. I know she would be so proud of us all. Sadly we just didn’t get enough time with her.  We had planned to do fundraising events in 2020 to mark the 30yr anniversary but unfortunately the pandemic hit us. Taking part will be a challenge for Lucy & myself but it’s for such an amazing charity which is close to our hearts. 

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones.All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
