Sadly My Beautiful, amazing and life loving Mum lost her battle with MND on 1st Dec 2022.   Her 23 month struggle with this evil disease was not an easy one, which makes me want to try even harder to raise funds in the hope that one day a cure will be found so others don't have to suffer as she did, and also to help all those suffering, both patients and family/friends/carers.

Incidentally - I haven't forgotten that when I originally started this fundraising page I was planning to do 2021 miles in 2021!! With life being what it was (see below) that didn't happen.  I will check where I got to and continue - I promise :)

Update 21/10/21...

So the latter part of 2021 has been somewhat unpredictable.   Mum's MND progression has been quite fast which has meant she's needed lots of looking after.  Sadly Dad passed away suddenly on 14th September.  Needless to say any walking, running, cycling I was planning to do stopped a while ago!!

I will complete the 2021 miles but at some point in the future so as not to let those that donated down.

I'm changing the name of this fundraising page as I will be doing other things to raise money for MND and will put anything raised here.

MND is such a very cruel disease and much money is needed to continue the amazing research to find a cure!!

A while ago I had decided that I was going to challenge myself to walk/cycle 2021 miles in 2021.   It may not seem a big challenge to some but it's way more than I usually do and with this being my big '50' year I thought it was about time I made an effort to get fit!!

In light of my Mum's recent MND diagnosis I thought I would also try to raise some funds for mnda at the same time.
