Ok Guys this is the big one.

As some of you may know and some of you may, not my Grandad was my hero, he was my best friend and my guide. He taught me things only he could teach and gave me love no-one else could give. I lost him in November 2011 when he lost his battle with Lung Cancer. Throughtout his treatment and spells in hospital he did not complain once,and always had a smile on his face. He ended his final days in the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle and I cannot explain to you what they done for him and my family. He died with all his family around him and the nurses were in my opinion UNBELIEVABLE. For the reasons above I have decided not only to run the Great North Run again this year in his memory but in March 2013 I am going to Trek the Grand Canyon for 5 days to remember and honour him.

He will walk with me every step of the way and no matter how hard this is his stregnth will carry me through.
