When we were told Billy had a cleft lip and palate at our 20 week scan we went into shock, I was worried sick and couldn’t sleep for days . That was until I found the videos on dealing with the diagnosis on the CLAPA website, immediately after watching them I felt a part of something , that we weren’t alone and that I could move forward.

1 in 700 babies are born with a cleft , and clapa supports both the parents and the children, providing holidays where children can meet other children with cleft , providing them with community and the knowledge they are not alone . There is no known cause for cleft , and I will forever feel like it was something I did wrong in my pregnancy, never knowing what that could have been. So I channel all of those emotions into fundraising for the most worthy cause I can find , please help .
