As you all know, Guy was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer almost three years ago. He had a number of operations and many, many rounds of chemotherapy at the Christie. Throughout all this treatment Guy was positive and courageous.

Last week, he sadly lost his fight to the disease and he was cared for in his final days by the amazing doctors and nurses at St. Ann's Hospice in Heald Green. The care and dignity he received was outstanding. The staff spent time with Guy, treated him with the utmost respect, scooped me up from puddles of tears on many, many occasions and made us countless cups of tea. The work they do is selfless and kind and absolutely necessary.
