Although I`m lucky enough to have sailed through my 3 pregnancies, I know that many women suffer the tragedy of losing their precious child every day. Women like my neice, whose 1st baby was born too early, at just 23 weeks pregnant. Luca-James was a fighter, and lived for 5 hours, but he was born just too early to survive. My whole family was devastatedby his loss, none more so than Kimmy, Luca`s mummy. By raising money for Tommy`s, we are helping to fund vital research into why so many babies are born too early or too sick to survive, and hopefully, we will be able to spare another family the pain ours has suffered. We can never bring Luca back, but we can honour his memory by doing all we can to save other babies like him.
