Story

On Sunday 2 October 2022, I'll be running the London Marathon in support of SeeAbility.

SeeAbility is a UK charity that empowers people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss to live ambitious lives achieving things they never thought possible.

I've witnessed this first hand working at The Village School where SeeAbility provide specialist sight tests and glasses for children with special needs.

Whether its forming more friendships and relationships, enjoying new experiences, or finding employment, SeeAbility's vision is for inclusive communities where people with disabilities, can live, love, thrive and belong as equals in society.

The people SeeAbility support challenge us all to rethink disability and inclusion.

With your support today, SeeAbility can make inclusion a reality by ensuring every voice is heard and that no one with a disability is left behind or alone.

£10 given today could go towards a communication device to promote choice and independence

£25 given today can support someone to gain a meaningful career through SeeAbility's supported employment programme - 'Ready, Willing and Able'

About the charity

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.
