I am so honoured to be Chair of Target Ovarian Cancer, a world-class charity working across all four nations of the UK focused on providing support, education and research.

We have launched an urgent appeal to dramatically speed up diagnosis of ovarian cancer.  It’s called Fast Forward.

We know that too few women know the signs of ovarian cancer.  Too many GPs don't spot them.  If diagnosed at the earliest stage, 9 in 10 women will survive.  

Today, 11 more women will die from ovarian cancer. Like they will tomorrow, and the day after.

Our mothers, our daughters, our sisters and wives – dying because we’re not acting quickly enough. This has to change.

So I am acting quickly and am going to endeavour to pass a GCSE in Italian from start to finish in just 3.5 months - a fast forward attempt to do something really challenging so you want to be as generous as possible to help ensure I achieve my targets.
