I've been threatening to do something to raise money for a while and having your support will motivate me so much - I need it, I'm already petrified. I plan to do my first triathlon (it's a sprint one) on 10th April 2011 at Sevenoaks. Adam has done it before and it's his fault I am now doing it! It's one way to get fit after having a baby...........

As you know, I lost my mum very suddenly to lung cancer 4 years ago. It was a huge shock especially as she was a non smoker and because my awareness of her type of cancer was so poor. She was very brave throughout her short illness and her faith and trust in her Lord Jesus never faltered, even when facing death. Sadly, I have lost the most wonderful mum and she never got to be a fantastic nanny to my 11 month old daughter Grace.

Therefore, I am raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. I want to try and increase awareness of this type of cancer as it is often diagnosed very late when treatment is not possible. If just one family benefit in some way from the money raised - then job done.
