Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I've decided to run the Sheffield Half Marathon on 6th April 2014 with my wonderful family in order to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. This is a great personal challenge for me and will hopefully be a great achievement when I cross the finish line!

We are raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer as they are doing great work in funding research for the treatment of breast cancer and in promoting awareness for women. We feel very passionately about supporting this research and there have already been some important discoveries made by the Scientists and Doctors behind Breakthrough Breast Cancer. In recent years, the charity's research scientists have discovered the faulty BRCA gene in some women with a history of breast cancer which could put them at higher risk. Scientists are also currently running clinical trials with money raised and are testing new drugs and making more discoveries in treatment.

Please help us raise money for this amazing cause! Your support is hugely appreciated, thank you! :)
