We made it up the 4200m after a long VERY hard trek! It was much more technical than we were thinking, we even needed crampons! But we made it up and down in one piece for a well earned rest. Now we are just a few days away from our 24 hour, 160 mile run from London to Cardiff (Twickenham to the millennium stadium), relay style with a team of 12. 

The challenge we signed up for...

It’s 3am on the Ridgeway National Path. Hearts race.The lonely light from a runners headtorch bobs and sways, flashing through skeletal trees like something out of a Hitchcock film. A few hundred yards away 11 team members eagerly await the arrival of their runner, one of them preparing for ‘their’ moment. The checkpoint flag flutters. Minutes later, the stumbling head torch reveals a tired but elated runner, the GPS tracker is exchanged and the next runner disappears off, fresh in to the night. Smiles all round as the team congratulate their comrade and pile in to the minibus – onward!

Fourteen hours later, 12 exhausted but grinning runners ascend the famous Dragons Mouth in to the bowl of the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Family and friends erupt at the finish as the weary cohort cross the line with hugs and tears.
