Story
Hi Everyone,
As some of you know, last October my Father lost his battle to a rare type of Cancer at only 58 years old. From diagnosis until the end, Dad remained incredibly positive and brave, despite a great deal of suffering.
I am doing a parachute jump in memory of Dad, to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Royal Marsden is made up of two specialist cancer hospitals and a world renowned cancer research facility. When I first visited the Marsden, I was apprehensive that a hospital full of cancer patients would be a scary and sad place, however the staff create such a supportive and comforting atmosphere for patients and the families, that it became a home from home for us, even putting up 16 of us so that we could be there with Dad for his final days.
They were so good to Dad and without the research that they did, we may not have had as long we did.
I want to raise as much money as possible for the Royal Marsden, so they can continue with their ground breaking research into all forms of cancer, so that more people can fight and survive.
Please donate anything you can, everyone I know has had some experience of cancer and how devastating it can be, every penny put into research increases our chances to beat it. Dad lost his fight, the more we raise the more people can win theirs.
Thank you!
Love Em xx
