Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Too many of us, or our family members, will experience mental health issues, and globally 8 million people die each year due to mental illness.
Research has shown that member of the emergency services are even more at risk of experiencing a mental health problem than the general population, but are less likely to seek support - 1 in 4 bluelight workers and volunteers are affected by mental health issues.
These are the people we rely on to pick up the pieces when the worst has happened, to be there when our world is crumbling around us, and who are exposed to sights and experiences that many of us would find hard to comprehend. This programme helps get them the support and help they need when it is them that needs rescuing.
Mind is delivering the Blue Light Programme to provide mental health support for emergency services staff and volunteers from police, search and rescue, fire and ambulance services across England.
"It's OK not to be OK" - lets talk, and break the stigma of mental health illness.
