Story
I've chosen to attempt the Caerphilly 10km in memory of Sue Peattie, a colleague of mine during my time at Cardiff University.
In September 2013 Sue very sadly lost her battle with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy). Sue was one of the world's kindest and inspirational people. She was attentive to everyone she met, had the most amazing memory and had a genuine interest in the supporting everyone's success. It seems she touched the lives of everyone she met and as an academic was one of a kind.
Sue was a keen runner so it seemed fitting to attempt something that she herself would have probably enjoyed. I'm not going to pretend that I'll be enjoying the 10km on Sunday morning but I'm going to be fighting my way around to help those with the fight of this very rare disease.
