Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our just giving page for your own virtual walk to help raise money for “Wally the Wheelbarrow.
In August 2003 Michael pushed a wheelbarrow from Fifield Bavant to Salisbury district hospital via Coombe Bisset and Homington (approx 13 miles) to raise money for Coronary heart disease. This is how he became known as Wally the Wheelbarrow and he has been raising money for Salisbury Hospital ever since. He now has a team of seven to help him and they have raised over £450,000 helping all the departments at the hospital so far.
Michael would love it if as many people as possible would like to do a walk around where they live on Sunday April 25th and raise some money for this great cause. Michael, aged 88, will be doing his own walk in the Chalke Valley that day. You can walk as far as you like but remembering to do so safely and not breaking any lockdown rules please.
