Story

Myself and my best friend Millie are taking part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk on June 4th 2023 and will be walking 18 miles from the Bridge of Dee to Banchory to raise money for Crohn's & Colitis UK. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in June 2021 after suffering from years of debilitating symptoms before being diagnosed. I found Crohn's & Colitis UK to be a lifeline of support for gathering information on symptoms, researching diets and "safe foods" and treatments available to me. Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of.

The money we raise will help Crohns & Colitis UK:

*provide high-quality information, and support those in need through their Helpline services

*campaign for better health services and improved lives for people with Crohn’s and Colitis

*fund vital research into treatments for the conditions

P.s. We decided to call ourselves Team Shared Brain as many of those who know us would agree that we do in fact act as if we share one brain between the two of us :)
