I'm raising money for REDRESS because torture remains a constant problem around the world. REDRESS ensures that survivors of torture are able to bring legal cases to obtain justice and reparations for the violation of their rights, which is essential to the survivor's journey of recovery, and advocates for legal and policy reforms that deter its use around the world.

I work for REDRESS as a legal officer, focusing on anti-torture reforms and accountability for torture in Sudan. We work with many incredible Sudanese partners to challenge prevailing impunity for serious human rights abuses and international crimes. This work is even more important now after a coup which occurred in October 2021, threatening to undo historic reforms made in the past two years.
